When are you going to step
When are you going to step up with the times and go live?!
Please Help
On Thursday 9/30 1pm. My Wood Canoe drifted off shore, I was on the Northside of lake Rte 49 West by Circle K. The Canoe has Outriggers and would stay afloat. It has 2 fishing poles and a blue bag of gear an anchor and in seat pouch a pair of Eye Glasses. It would have been drifting East. If seen please reply to this post or contact me here: http://oneidalakeview.com/contact. The Canoe is clear coated (Yellow) was made by High School Students who donate the money for other Students in need at Christmas time. My wife and Son's purchased a book of raffle tickets and won. It was my Christmas Gift 28 years ago. Thank you for any help in finding it.
Camera
Are you ever going to move the camera closer to the water?
Love your camera!
Thanks so much for your camera! I have a camp in Blossvale on Fish Creek but live outside Philadelphia. I can always count on seeing your camera to know how things are "on the Ground" before I go to my little cabin. Looks like I can visit without having to snowshoe in right now! Thanks again!
Living in Austin, Tx these
Living in Austin, Tx these past nearly 50 years since my time in Syracuse, I can always get my fix for snow by visiting this site and the Liverpool Library live web cam site during the winter.
I have recently considered buying an acre lot in CNY with an old barn in my old age and splitting my time between here and there.
Oneida Lake
I'm also here in Austin for the past 45 years. Moved here from Webster NY. Yes, it's cold up there in the winter but the Summers are so green and beautiful in upstate NY. And even better, they have water.
We own a camp in Blossvale
We own a camp in Blossvale too and live down here in the Oley Valley area PA !! Love this site! Would love to get some ice skating in when we come up, but never know if it will be smooth enought or thick enough with some warm temps this year , nice to be able to watch it.
The Lake
Fond memories of the Lake when I was young. It is my imagination or does the Lake level look down - it appears that you can see some of the shoreline? It this a common occurrence during the winter months? Thanks for having the video available.
Web Cam
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!! Just saw the camera is back. You are a gift from God! I can't get up there often enough and love to watch the lake change into winter white as I sit here in cold wet Philadelphia. You are wonderful. thank you so much. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the kind words
Thank you for the kind words and merry Christmas to you. The camera has been on pretty steadily since January so I'm sorry to hear you've been unable to view it. May I suggest going into your PC or phone's browser settings to clear the cache periodically?

I can't begin to tell you how much I miss your webcam. I was glad to see you are working on getting it back operational. I am a native "Cleveland" resident and your view is exactly the one I always had before moving from the area. Thank you for your efforts in keeping us connected to the lake.

Back in the day
46 years ago I was a freshly minted engineering graduate of the University of Texas with my first job working for G.E at the East Syracuse plant and later at the Farrell Rd. plant. I spent a lot of time around/on the lake and exploring the surrounding area. I love to visit this site and also the Liverpool Library web cam site to keep tabs on the real time weather up there.
Lewis Point
Lewis Point is one of my favorite places on Oneida Lake, Winter,Summmer, Spring or Fall. Unreal sunsets !!!!
Thanks to all who take care of this Lake !!!

love the view
Spent a lot of years in that lake. all my summers as a kid. Grandparents owned a camp in Verona Beach, Aunt had a store in Sylvan Beach. Thanks for the cam. Relaxing memories
How is the water?
I heard the blue-green algae was really bad the summer, hitting all the Finger Lakes.
I also heard that they dropped the water level 12 inches this summer because of a barge.
Are lake water levels returning to "normal" summer levels?
Enjoyment
Grandson lives on Mill Rd. Get to see how cold it is while I'm enjoying the warm no snow in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas!
Love visiting your area when it's much warmer!
BB Webcam
OMG ---the snow is so piled up on the fence I can't even see the Lake, today on 3/15/17.
See........, the value of the fence being in the view is silently valuable!! Even we Floridians feel your freeze. Best to you from Tallahassee.
Where is the Northshore cam located
Can anyone tell me where the north shore camera is located
OneidaLakeView.com Cam Location
The Oneida Lake View webcam is on the north shore of Oneida Lake between Bernhards Bay and Cleveland, NY looking South.

East Shore & Verona Beach area webcam
This north shore site is awesome, hoping someone on the beach or east shore starts a webcam and website. it would be awesome to have all corners of this lake covered to prepare for a day on the lake for boaters and everyone !!
Come on John Maxey !!! lol Stan
Norh shore webcam location
Maybe the owners can move the webcam closer to the lake so the trees are not in the view, but other then that this site is good.

Beautiful summer day at Oneida Lake
BB Webcam
Since I found you a few years back, I visit 2-3 times a day...Am a Syracuse gal ,now in FL and my Grammy lived in BB for a time- Oneida Lake was/remains a warm and wet Memory of my 70 years. Your webcam is a Gift of Memory.
I check for the snow levels on your fence, and the windy waves coming ashore---look for a lawn bench, and now for the day the dock and boat are in. Love the radar view, also.
Thank you for your committed reliability in maintaining this window to " Back Home".
Love the Oneida Lake View Webcam
I wanted to comment on how much I enjoy being able to look at the lake everyday. I live on the North Shore and by the looks of this view not far from the webcam! My family has been on the lake for 93 years. I am able to spend some winter time in a warmer climate now but look at the webcam several times a day. I don't miss Oswego County winters but do miss the lake when I am away. Thank you for providing the opportunity to see this beautiful vista.

Looks like winter has
Looks like winter has finally arrived at beautiful Oneida Lake
Toad Harbor, Poddygut bay, Memories
Always love to check out my dear Oneida Lake. Grew up on what was then a dirt road to a few cabins on Toad Harbor. How I wish I could have held on to the house their after my parent's passing. One of my biggest regrets (but not my only mistake in life!!!!) Fishing, ice fishing, water skiing, swimming off the end of a moonlit, handmade wooden dock. We would have to bring in gallons of city water until finally sunk a well with the help of a local dowser with a willow witch. Blankets were called planks in order to be heavy enough for warmth. A truck with a plow was good but a snowblower better be mounted on a tractor to be effective.
